Biography
London based Jonnie trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts taking diverse roles such as Konstantin in The Seagull, Antipholus in Comedy of Errors (directed by Edward Hall) and Tashi, a Buddhist Monk, in Tibetan Inroads.
With a penchant for creating challenging characters Jonnie relishes in taking on roles others are not comfortable doing and has continued this variance in his film and TV work. Roles include a fastidious Adverting Executive lost in a Forest (Do Elephants Pray? - dir. Paul Hills), an Irish Cowboy Vampire (Umbrage - dir. Drew Cullingham), an unrepentant sex-offender (Bad Girls - ITV - dir. Julian Holmes), your friendly neighbourhood drug-dealer Les (7 Seconds to Heaven - dir. Caleb Lindsey), an anarchist turned Hare Krishna (Too Many Bullets - dir. Simon Fortescue), a distraught father of an abducted child (Collapsed - Leopard TV dir. Elliot Kew) and a video-documenting post apocalyptic survivalist (The Zombie Diaries - dir. Kevin Gates).
In 2007 Jonnie wrote, produced and starred in the feature film 'Do Elephants Pray?' (Dir: Paul Hills - Boston Kickout, The Poet) for Amaranth Film Partners & Elephant Features Ltd.
He has also written the features 'Abra-Ca-Debra' and 'Take Down The Union Jack' both to be drected by Paul Hills for Elephant Features, and is in development with two other features, the comedy 'Another Man's Rhubarb' and the military script 'The Beyond' for Wesley Road Films & Angelic Films respectively.Jonnie has also worked consistently as a Voice Over artist on Radio & TV for clients as diverse as Timelife, EMI and the Ghanan Embassy. He was also 'The Station Voice' on Radio One's Sony Award winning idents. He has also presented on music radio and once fronted the band Curfew.
A keen photographer and independent traveller (despite being arrested at gun point in the Sahara Desert) Jonnie's other interests include Tai Chi - The History of Art - Cinema - Loud Guitar Music and Answering rhetorical questions.
Jonnie divides his time between London and the South of France where he lives with his partner Stéphanie and their
daughter Rosalie Triskelle.
He has a Kevin Bacon number of 3.
