EXT. DIRT TRACK - DAY
The car shrinks into the distance as they head further up the dirt track. Callum, mimicking smoking with a small stick, steps into mud up to his ankles dulling the shine on his shoes.
CALLUM
Oh shit!
MALIKA
I told you to bring old shoes.
CALLUM
These are my old shoes.
He takes out his mobile phone but can’t get a decent signal. Malika prises the mobile from his hands and hurls it into the field next to them losing it in the crops.
CALLUM (Cont’d)
Hey!
MALIKA
If you truly want to grow you have to
make sacrifices, free yourself from the
material world you rely on.
She heads back off up the dirt track leaving him behind.
CALLUM
Grow what?
He gives one last lingering look at the car and follows.
Frustrated by the souless world he is shackled to the life of advertising executive, Callum, is transformed when he meets the free-spirited Malika who promises to reveal to him the meaning of life - providing he keeps her identity a secret.
