  Oh shit!

  MALIKA

I told you to bring old shoes.

  CALLUM

  These are my old shoes.

He takes out his mobile phone but can’t get a decent signal. Malika prises the mobile from his hands and hurls it into the field next to them losing it in the crops.

  CALLUM (Cont’d)

  Hey!

  MALIKA

If you truly want to grow you have to

  material world you rely on.

She heads back off up the dirt track leaving him behind.

  CALLUM

  Grow what?

He gives one last lingering look at the car and follows.
