Character. Luca. Second generation Eastern European immigrant lost in a self-enclosed world.

A character that has never experienced a guiding parental hand and therefore has little idea of how to interact with others.

A very intense shoot involving standing around in Oxford Street holding an internet sign and several days staring at objects in a studio set apartment.

Always wanting to challenge myself I approached this character in a different way to normal. The studio days were shot largely without any rehearsal and with a single take on each slate allowing the character to develop through whatever feeling was in my head at the time rather than something that was meticulously planned.

It was both a very intense yet a very refreshing way of working.
