I based this character on someone I used to know well. I felt that not all drug dealers are the evil, money-obsessed, violent gangsters that the news media likes to present, many see it merely as providing a service. The often biased media view is something I have always bevlieved to be born out of lazy journalism, of watching too many clichéd shouty movies and not actually getting out and meeting people.

You might not like what Les does to survive in this crazed world we have created but you wouldn't mind hanging out in the pub with him.
