Character. John Alden. (Lead)

In denial of his terminal illness John Alden, a former government code breaker, is persuaded to take one last job unaware that he is being used by by those he used to trust.

This was a film that allowed me to explore deeply the travails of a character who is living in denial. He is dying but refuses to believe it chosing instead to fill his remaining days as he has ever other day of his life.

Alden was a very intimate characterer to play and having developed some of the specifics of his condition with the director I was fortunate to be allowed the artistic freedom to explore them in depth. The result is a film that is both fascinating and uncomfortable to watch at the same time.
